Weddings at Lower Lode

The shape of your day starts with you.

Bring together a licensed ceremony, riverside photographs, food, speeches, music and somewhere to stay—or choose only the parts that fit.

Three useful starting points

How might your celebration feel?

These are not rigid bundles. They help you see which spaces, timings and practical details might work before the venue prepares a tailored proposal.

Flexible by design

A hall that changes with the day

The separate function hall can move from ceremony to dining and on into the evening. Room dressing, table plans, entertainment and food format are worked through around your guest list.

For a smaller celebration, the main inn building has a licensed room with a more intimate scale. Both options keep you close to the river and garden.

The useful parts of a complete plan

Ceremony

Choose the licensed indoor space that fits your numbers and atmosphere; arrange the registrar separately.

Food and drink

Discuss service style, dietary needs, a full bar and how hospitality should carry the day.

Music and evening

Plan a band or DJ, evening guests and timings that work with the hall and the written arrangements.

Styling

Shape room dressing, table layout and details without disguising the honest character of the venue.

Guest stays

Discuss five rooms, traditional seasonal camping, allocations and accessible-room needs early.

Planning support

Turn an approximate date and guest list into practical spaces, timings and a tailored written proposal.

Five useful answers

Can we hold our legal ceremony at Lower Lode?

Yes. Lower Lode Inn is an approved ceremony venue with licensed indoor spaces. You arrange and pay for the registrar separately through Gloucestershire Registration Service.

What wedding formats can we discuss?

The main starting points are a full riverside day, an intimate weekday wedding, a reception-only celebration and a stay-and-celebrate enhancement. Each is shaped into a tailored proposal rather than treated as a rigid bundle.

Why are prices not displayed online?

Guest numbers, room layout, food, timings and stayover needs can change the shape of a celebration. A conversation or private viewing gives the team enough context to prepare a personalised proposal around what matters to you.

How do we arrange a viewing?

Call, email or use the enquiry form. Share your approximate date, guest numbers and the style of celebration you are considering so the meeting can focus on the right spaces.

Is the registrar arranged separately?

Yes. The venue and legal ceremony arrangements are separate. Contact Gloucestershire Registration Service to check registrar availability before treating a ceremony time as confirmed.
